Sorry folks....

....no show this evening. I'm going to have to cancel on account of the surprise onset of a summer cold (easily the most obonoxious sort of temporary illness). It's a shame, too, as I've got all kinds of great new music for you FU:ELers out there, including the brand new disc from BLOWOFF, the brand new project from Sugar/Husker Du frontman Bob Mould and house DJ Richard Morel. I'm listening to it right now, and it's great, so be sure to tune in for that and more on next week's show.

Better late than never!

Here's where to download last week's show....

It inexplicably stops during the Don Caballero song, which is a shame cuz there was a lot of good stuff after that. From here on out, the show will be split in half like it was 2 weeks ago to ensure that you FU:EL fans out there don't miss out on any of the fun just because you can't tune in on Tuesdays.

Elephant 6-6-6

It's the Devil's Day, so the show this week was packed with music saluting the big red guy, Lucifer hisself!

...just kidding. Nope, even on the evilest day of the century, File Under: Easy Listening can't help but bring you some of the best power pop that music has to offer! My special guest this week was Mr. Mark Bruder, who picked out a rather sizeable chunk of the music on the show this week, including plenty of bands being played on FU:EL for the first time. But hey, we like to stir things up, right? There's also a veritable ass-ton of music from bands in the Elephant 6 collective (Olivia Tremor Control, Of Montreal, Elf Power, Essex Green, etc.), so the trip-sixes make sense, don't they?

Here's the show for download, available in two convenient chunks (the second of which cuts off the final song for the day, and I'm not sure why, but for that I apologize).
